    Andronikos 14.10 Lingfield

Ranwith credit in a listed race two weeks ago and i think the handicapper may well have given this one a chance here.If overcoming the dodgy draw it would have to be a serious contender.

    Kaveri 15.45 Lingfield

Runs well at this track and if putting best foot forward could go close, has shown signs of returning to form in its last couple of races.

    Babodana 15.15 Lingfield

Reported in great form and if the price is as the tissue says it would be a great E/W bet.

    Come What July 21.00 Wolverhampton

Has won off a mark of 73,races here off a mark of 57,,Kelly Harrison gave it a poor ride last time sitting way off the pace,Mathers claims 3lb tomorrow and at 14/1 tissue its too big to miss.

    Desert Light 12.10 Lingfield

Yard are hitting form and Dane O Neill gets on well with the horse,c/d winner, should run very well.

Best Of Luck All and best of Luck to Andrew Heffernan who takes his first ride on Bahamian Bay at Southwell on monday.

    2.20 Haydock

    DESERT TOMMY

Won his last race over a similar distance/ground by 7 lengths

Amazingly carries less weight in this race....

    16/1

Gav me my biggest return this year when i got at 14/1 2 or 3 weeks ago, so i owe it to him to go big again this time

    3:15 Lingfield

Bahar Shumaal runs again on the AW tomorrow (I noted this horse in the 'horses to follow' thread recently) This horse made an absolutely cracking AW debut at Wolves with a fantansic speedy finish. This horse is definitely underrated IMO, and is forcasted at 14/1. I'd imagine he will be at least 25/1 on the exchanges, so Im going to have a small win bet, and a hefty place bet. I've had him on the tracker for a while, and I was hoping they would give him another AW race. A definite place or e/w bet for me.

    3.55 haydock

    KANPAI

Won its last 6 races in a row...

Easily won a class 1 race by 12 legths 3 weeks ago (same day desert tommy won)

Runs in a class 2 today and keeps the same weight, mccoy's stll on board too

forecasted to be 11/8, i'd be delighted with that price and that's rare for me

wouldn't be surprised to see it odds on though

    2.35 Ascot

    Potts Of Magic

2nd lowest weight on the field, in good form.

Johnson on board is plus as well

Should be an each way price

For my lucky 15 tomorrow on what looks like a super days racing:

Vic Venturi 1.45 Punchestown (Class act so far)

Kauto Star 1.50 Haydock (Trounced rivals on comeback, might not have been the strongest but should put Beef and Co to the sword)

Beau Michel 3.55 Haydock (two impressive wins can step up again extra distance will suit, ruby up again, might be good value against short priced fav)

Madison Du Berlais 2.05 Ascot (A horse ive been waiting to see. Nearly always finishes in top three. Ran a blinder in Cheltenham Grand Annual only failing to get up, i expect alot from this one this season. Should be decent price as is competitive race with Tysou and Andreas in opposition)

Due to the numerous meetings and subsequent no. of horses, the sesame street style system is struggling, there are no qualifiers for an e/w lucky 63, so 2 e/w lucky 31's are in order:

Today's programme is brought to you by the letter ...................... "E":
    Egyptian Lord Wol 5:40
    El Corredor Hun 12:20
    Elle Nino Wol 9:00
    Esprit De Nuit Lin 1:10
    Executive Decision Hay 3:20

    5 selections = 10c e/w Lucky 31 (€6.20)

Today's programme is also brought to you by the letter................... "V"
(Due to their being four "V's" in england, one of the Irish "V's" come into play)
    Valance Asc 2:35
    Very Special One Hun 12:20
    Vic Venturi Pun 1:45
    Viewforth Lin 12:10
    Vortex Lin 2:10

    5 selections = 10c e/w Lucky 31 (€6.20)

Total Stake: €12.40 (Play around with the funds from yesterday!! :p )
    _________________________________________________________________

On another note, I fancy Beef Or Salmon to go very close tomorrow. His best performance in England, was over the course and distance. He has had 1 more run than the rest of the field, and beat the current gold cup champion on one of those occasions. He is coming over with no "reported" problems, and i would say the fittest of the lot (proven over 3 miles). In saying that there has been little to suggest that Kauto Star wont get the 3 miles, and his previous race wasnt against much but he wasnt really tested, racing against has-beens. I suppose im just routing for Beef Or Salmon to prove to the english racing public that he is a star chaser. However, i wont be the least bit suprised to see him flop again.

Also my trusty notebook informs me Halcon Generlardais is out tomorrow, started the season well winning from 2m 5f right up to 3m 2f, and then finish fifth over 4m 1f in the scottish national. Runs over hurdles today, and should make use of his stone lower over the smaller sticks. Another from the notebook opposes him in the shape of Desert Tommy, who gamb1or has already talked about above.

Not personally Fade, but he rides out at that yard, and I believe he is very nervous about monday.

Kicks For Free tomorrow, first race at Haydock,, 10 /11 in the RP,cant see it being that.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,937 ✭✭✭fade2black

Hopefully he'll give it a good ride and give his career a confident kick start.

Kicks for free won't be 10/11 and Kanpai won't be 11-8 (probably be 1-2). So many of those forecasts are pointless.

Fade, did you ever think of a tipster comp on here?it would get more people posting selections....just for pride.to many just browsing and not posting, selections that is.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,937 ✭✭✭fade2black

To be honest Tush, we really only do it for Cheltenham. Personally, I don't want to see people posting selections just for the hell of it. This is a Horse Racing discussion forum and I hate seeing people posting horse names and nothing else. A 4 year old can do that. I'll never give someone credit for picking a winner without some analysis.

There will be something coming up before the end of the month that hopefully everyone here can get excited about. I'll keep ya informed.

Contraband should go well in the 2.05 at Ascot if the visor works in its favour. This is a very open race that should be won outside the first two in betting. Currently 10/1.

It's hard to see past Kauto Star in the 1.50 at Haydock.

United runs again in 2.20 at Haydock. After a long chat with Fade a while back I can't ever let her run without having a bet. Currently 14/1.

Orpen Wide will be used to the opposition, distance and going in the 2.50 at Haydock and isn't a bad bet at 7/2.

I'll be very interested to see how Keenan's Future goes in the 12.55 at Huntington. I don't expect it to win today, but this is one of my horses to watch this season.

Thisthatandtother can upset Monkerhostin in the 3.00 at Huntington.

It's also hard to see past Into The Shadows in the 3.30 Huntington providing it is up for it today.

Purple Shuffle won't win today at Punchestown but is another horse to follow this season. Its due a big win in a big field, and that's obviously not today. :p

And for the laugh, my system has thrown out Opera Writer in the 2.00 at Huntington. Sorry there's no detailed writeup, but I'm just about to run out the door (and into my taxi because of these crazy hail stones) to the bookies. Best of luck.

    3 for me today.

    2:05 Ascot Green Tango

Even though this only a 2 miler not many will get home in the conditions. Green Tango is proven on a very soft surface and has also won over 2 furlongs further so should have no problems stamina wise. Finsished 3.5 lengths behind Madison De Berlais who I think is the danger at Cheltenham but is 7 lbs better off today. Still looks very feasibly weighted, and looks as if there is still a lot to come.

    2:20 Haydock Halcon Genelardais

There are two potential handicap good things in this race in Halcon Genelardais and Jazz D'Estruval who go off marks well below their chase ratings. I remember putting up Jazz D'Estruval at this meeting last year as one of the bets of the season and he duly obliged, I'm pretty sure he'll be thereabouts again however I'm going to side with Halcon Genelardais.
He is a stone lighter than his chase mark, goes well fresh and won't mind at all if conditions get testing.

    3:00 Huntington - Thisthatandtother

Thisthatandtother is 10lb better off with Monkerhostin for a 3 length defeat in this race last year. He usually goes well fresh and goes on most surfaces, and is rarely out of the places. I'm still not convinced by Racing Demon, he doesn't come across as the most genuine sort.

Have to say a big well done to the Saturday King Sjones with his shout on Purple Shuffle there. He was probably forgiven for thinking that the horse wouldn't win in that field but he did indeed, and at a very nice price. Well done to ya!

Cousin is at punchestown today and the word is that Notre Pere in the last is a very decent animal, and they were given the nudge to have a decent punt on this as it is primed for the run and will be very hard to beat.
    Word passed on lads.

    Wolverhampton

19.30 - Fired Up -Yard dont run them here for fun.

20.00 - Desert Lightning - Furlong less will suit.

20.30 - Until When - Best chance to win so far.

    21.00 - Come What July E/W.

    21.30 - Morse - On best form,could win this.

Mr R O Sullivan. Rides a bit for Colm Murphy. It's a jockey error though that we don't only see in amateurs. If I was a jockey and I say the market leader run off in front under a better jockey than me you can be sure I'd have my horse close enough to it.
