    Hi guys,

    I decided i was peed off with my crappy P(O)S camera so I purchased a Nikon D80 with which to actually control my shots. Now the problem is the instructions I got are 100% German, having ordered from Germany. I thought I'd get a European intruction-manual with a load of languages, like most manuals in this modern age.

    Is there any way I can source an English text? I was considering mailing Nikon but they would probably tell me to go sling my hook. However, maybe you are saying I dont need to read the instructions, and that I can learn all the buttons myself. Well if that is feasible then please tell me, and save me from a pointless quest.

    You could pay a small amount to download it as a pdf... .or use it as a perfect opportunity to learn German. Failing both of my somewhat useless recommendations, I'm sure someone will have a link where you can download it. I went through the same with a Canon 20D and managed to get it via a download.

    You can download them from Nikon.co.uk

    Just register with them and select customer services. You can then narrow down your search and select user manuals.

    When I ordered my D70s from Germany the manual was also in German, but I got a disk that had the English .pdf on it. Maybe my guy was just nicer? :)

    I take it you got no such disk? Do some rummaging ;)
