Has anyone seen the TV that tesco are selling this weekend? The model is:

    Bush LCD26TV022

The price is E699, but they give you E174.75 back in tesco club points and the paper says that you also get a free dvd recorder with it!!

That seems a pretty good deal to me. I was in a tesco store this evening and I had a look at it, to my untrained eye it looked very nice. Does anyone know if the model of TV is any good? Is this a good deal?

I dunno, it's not a HDTV, and I think Curry's have a few of those for that price or slightly more. The money back looks good as does the DVD recorder, but I think I'll hold on. Tesco are very slow with new TVs.

I think it is a HDTV.... at least on the label that in the shop (I took a pic on my phone of the tv and label to show my family:o ) it says 27" HD LCD... so that means it is a HDTV or am I missing something?

Well sounds like it is from that alright! But from http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bush-Industries-LCD26TV022-Projection-Television/dp/B000K7LQZ6 I gathered it wasn't, it says HD-Ready: No , vertical resolution 480 pixels. I might do a bit more research.

Edit: There's not much on Google about this particular model. I can't find a website for Bush from college because I run the risk of running into porn. If it turns out not to be an HDTV I will get in touch with my former colleagues about getting the in store advertising changed...

Its a Bush TV . I would run a mile from Bush or Alba or certain other cheapo makes.

Bush / Alba / Goodmans are all the same company, I have a bush TV, Alba DVD player and bush surround sound and they're not too bad, probably not the best quality but they cost me ~25% less than other brands for what appeared to be the same quality

They are appaling tat, if the warranty is 12 months they are designed to last 13.

Compare the picture on one of those to this lad for €799 (no DVD) and you will be amazed at the difference .

samsung and sony have a joint venture plant (cost €1.5Bn or so at least ) to make the displays .
