    Hi,

I'm trying to create an image of a disk for backup purposes. I'm using G4U which does almost what I need to create the image and FTP it to a server. My problem is that G4U will only FTP to the root of the account that you specify but my server does have permission to write at the root level so I get a permission denied message. What I would like is to be able to do is logon at a subfolder level, eg ftp. user@ftpserver\SUBFOLDER. I know that doesn't work but is there a command to do this?

not quite a solution, but can you create a virtual FTP account that is a folder below your root?

If your company is willing to spend a few quid, then I would suggest Norton Ghost, not only will it find folders created within a network (as you were having trouble with) it will also allow incremential backups to be automatically scheduled, so god forbid if ur PC ever went down at least you'd have all the latest work possible to get you back up and running in no time at all.
