Hi I was to fly to tunisia last month, but was sick and anxious re being sick, and/or a really uncomfortable flight.

Got some great replies to a post here but can't find it with the search facility. Especially one guy who I can only assume had considerable experience and/or work on flights. If you redognise you could you say hi here .. or send me a mesage pls.

Or maybe some one else can help too ...

Basically with poor health lately and not flying last month I know I'll go thro similar anxiety before my holidyto Latvia in Dec. To get around this I though of flying from Dublin to Cork, just to be able to say " ok did take off/landing and feel ok". I'd like to do this as not to disappoint my firned a second time ( and this time I would be flying alone, meeting him there)

my sister thinks not so a good idea because of the internal flight being on " crappy little plane"

    And opinion/ideas suggestion?

    Flight anxiety?

You could talk to your GP about getting sedatives to take before the flight? A friend of mine suffers from anxiety when flying and was given something to calm her down/make her go asleep from the GP.

I know some people have a few drinks before flying to try and curb the anxiety too, you could try that? (without going OTT and getting plastered)

Xanax or Valium from your GP - but as i'm sure he will tell you they dont mix with alcohol - so no booze for some hours afterwards.
