am interested in geting a loose curl or wave put into my hair, but don't want to end up with a poodle perm or a wave that won't stick.

What are peoples experiences with permanent waves?
where is the best place to get it done? I was thinking of petermark.
How long does it last and is it worth it?

    Thanks.

    hi there,
Just read your body wave thread and I have to tell you that I got my hair permed about 2 weeks ago. I love it. I just got fed up of trying to put a curl into my hair at the wkends and then about an hour later it hanging around my face with no body. I tie my hair up during the day but at the weekend I just have to add mousse and scrunch it slightly. I got a really soft curl in and I don't use too much heat on it to stop it going frizzy. My friend arrived at a party recently and her hair was amazing so when she told me it was a body wave/perm I decided to do the same. I have secretly being hoping fro yrs that they would come back into fashion and guess what.... they are! On OFF THE RAILS during the week they reported the look was a curl revival. I got mine doine in Wicklow But I do think that Peter Mark would be a safe bet. Good luck!
