My New Camera (C&C)

The vignette is a little overdone. It's one point to trail off a photo somewhat and another to just go black in the space of five pixels. I like #3 most of all, it very much reminds me of Eastern Europe during the 60's (not that I was around then), although I think the effect would be much better if you added some grain.

    EDIT: Like this:

Oh...so you have your new toy? Can't wait to drool on it :D
Those pictures are excellent and razor sharp, but I agree with Fenster that the vignetting is a little overdone.
Fit on your 10-20mm and your belly will fill half the frame :D

All crap. Sell the camera now. Sell it to me for half what you paid. It's clearly the only morally correct way out of this ugly situation...

On the other hand, great first few pics. Enjoy the new kit, you've surely earned it.

Great pics - love the second one - did you do much editing work afterwards on that one? The lighting is fantastic almost other-worldly great shot.

    Ah crap.

I thought the vignetting was better done than that. I miss my laptop...Have to use shoddy college monitors that give off too much contrast. Will be fixed by the morning though.

For the record though, the vignetting on the first one is untouched, was shot at f/11 methinks, same as the second, which was shot at f/1.4

Editing for the second one was just curves and a few lines burnt.

First one was curves, dodging, and some skin retouching.

Last one, converted through layer masks, and dodged and burned...and to be fixed in the morning.

And Rymus...Go bite the back of my balls :p

Congrats on the new gear Al. The pics are grand. I would like to see a few "normal" ones too if you get a chance. Do you still have the 350? If so a few of the same shots with both would be interesting.

350? Nah, only had that for a gig, was using a 300 most of the time :)

Will most likely have more by the weekend though, don't worry ;)

    Cheers all!
