Is there any info to be gleaned about what type of card you have from the serial no.s etc. on the back?

i have a few which i got from an unanmed auction site! and im giving away 1 or 2 to friends.

But i want to know is there a way of telling which ones are newer, freesat/ex sub etc...

Also are some of these cards due to be turned off soon ....

should they be paired (for freesat) with box, so that they will last longer?

Only one kind of card works at all
    Dark blue with yellow house.

A FTV or UK card seems to have 08700 500744
    An Irish has 0044 8702 404040

A cancelled Irish card might be good for Sky3, though one report of this no longer working.

A cancelled UK sub works the same as a FTV/Freesat from Sky card.

There is no advantage to pairing a card to a box except for an active subscription with premium channels.

All dark blue cards with Yellow house will very likely be phased out at same time. There is no definitive date.
