    Hi,

I'm looking to upgrade the memory on my laptop from 512MB DDR2 5300 to 1GB/2GB DDR2 5300, the cheapest I've found so far is €270 for 2gb or €130 for 1gb, anybody know of cheap online stores selling decent memory?

    Thanks in advance.

google pc memory upgrade and see what happens.

I think its the first in the list. They are based in celbridge and do decent prices with free p&p

www.shop4memory.com are based in Celbridge. Prices can't be beaten and they are very nice people too!

I was happy with shop4memory until they started a new website which started spamming people every week, a bloody nuisance and very very unprofessional of them .

Thanks for the recommendation, but Shop4Memory only stocks 512MB and smaller SO-DIMMs, so it's not suitable for me. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Try http://www.crucial.com/ and use either "The Crucial Memory Advisor Tool" or "The Crucial System Scanner" to find compatible memory for your laptop. The second option is handy if you want to find out how much ram your laptop can take without having to open the machine up or anything.

I checked the 1GB DDR2 5300 and is the same as what you originally had at E130.
