Just wondering what is the most % of their bank roll people have taken in order to buy something nice.

I recently desimated my bank roll online, taken out about 70% and I have no desire to try and build it up again, well that and the time. So now my bankroll management is in pieces. All i do now i really play sats when i get the time.

not sure why i wrote this, i suppose its kind of a warning. by the way the new iain archer album is whopper.

Like many casual players I havn't kept a bankroll seperate from real life money. Have meticulus records so i know if I'm winning or loosing. The levels I play at mean that if I need real life money to play poker it doesn't hurt the bank much. I suspect this is part of the reason that I've stayed at low levels for so long as i still look at the poker money as real money (well I hope so, or else the reason is Im a donk), so I find it harder to wager larger amounts, even if I know the players well and can beat them.

All said, I have now got about 15% of my total poker winnings in poker places (brown envelope/neteller), and have decided not to cash out any more for a long time.

I took different amounts out at different times. Bought a 42" plasma, a laptop and various other things. I was never very strict about keeping a certain amount online. I'm sure if i did it for a living, things would be different

I've taken out very little, mainly cause I've just about rolled for what I play. Maybe in a few months I might take a reg wage

Have withdrawn about 3 times from bankroll. 1st was to cover the initial stake money I invested, 2nd was to give me a live game bankroll and recently took out some to buy myself a Plasma in the new year sales (in case I lose it between now and then). The rest is allowing me to play under less bankroll pressue if Evil Variance strikes..

Have taken only about $500 when I was positively stuck for cash. The rest is going towards the greater good, I really want to get to 1/2 and 2/4 at some stage in the next couple of years.

I've only ever withdrawn money for my ipod from my poker money. My bankroll seemed to have stagnated over the last 6 months but it started moving again this month. Pity it's in the wrong direction :(

when its going well I take out a few hundred (150-200 standard, but some better months :D) a month, when its not, I leave it in.
Or once or twice, shock, horror, reload  Though tbh if I used neteller I could just move it around.

My major problem with my bankroll was also using the sportbook on paddypower, cost me a fecking fortune

i take most of it out all the time and build again, i think i am capable of playing too high if i have too much in the account... I dont treet it like money until i see the cheque:confused: ..

i generally reload for 100- or 200 and try to get to 2k before taking out 1k.. Ive no bankroll managment tough i tend to try to make it fast.. Works more often than not:) , but i not all the time obviously..

I find this way more fun than grinding away for a slow build up.. And it works for me about 7 out of 10 times...

One boredom of online poker sets in i tend to withdraw 75% of broll and blow the rest in a big game.

took me about a month to get my first 1k which included promotional bonii as well as winnings.. 2weeks later i was up to 2k and at this point began playing at limits i wasn't quite experienced enough to play.. decided to withdraw 1.7k and begin again at the lower limits which has been working great for me ever since.. i feel that it's necessary to withdraw something every so often to stay motivated..

I constantly take out my bankroll. on PPP, once I go above about 3k I take out 2k and start again.
On other sites, where I only play mtts... I take it out immediately after a big win, I Never leave more than about 500 in any of those. It all goes into a "poker profit" savings account :D

Out of this I have paid for two holidays to the states. Have bought loads of ****e I would not normally have bought.....A €860 monitor :D , a Projector, an Xbox360.... and I'm about to purchase a 3k laptop.
I am a casual player, so have no real need to not spend my profits whenever I feel like it.

I suppose its really about what your goal form on-line poker is, do you want to 1. play higher and higher or 2. are you happy to make X amount a month.

I only went at this online lark properly since june with the simple goal of making a steady life rake wage. I had played online sporadicly before but always for fun rather then making money

For me at the moment i falling into the second category happy enough making about €3k a month form stts and the odd plo cash game so my comfort zone is not to let my account fall below $3k. This is about 50 buy ins for the stt level I'm playing ( £30 ) and after playing these for five months feel quite comfortable with this amount. When i started at these my thinking was I needed 80 buy ins but experience has shown me that 50 is fine.

havent quite decided yet.. thinking of the new dell xps. its a monstrous machine (20.1" screen), so shouldnt really be called a laptop. its a portable desktop really. Its a bit of a gadget and prob shouldn't be wasting the money.. but feck it....
