all right guys... i know i prob shouldn't be advertising here.... but thought there might be an interested party who could avail of this great offer :o

Bought this monitor about 2 months ago (if even) and i have only used it twice. My desktop died a death and I am thinking of going down the route of large laptop... thinking of going nuts and buying the 20inch dell xps.

anyway, back to business. I have a 24" LCD Monitor for sale. It is currently €859 on Komplett (where I bought it).
    Check out info at:
    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=322763

This monitor is perfect for the poker enthusiast... the quick stint I had with it was great. 4 screens no overlay?..... no problem. With room to spare too.

I have put this up on Adverts.ie for €750. Ill sell it to a poker forum user for €700. So, if anyone's looking for a big monitor, this is a very good deal.

I have the Dell XPS Gen2 laptop with a 19" WXGA screen. It cost €2500 but was worth every cent. 4-tabling is no problem either.

Nice monitor btw. I have a big monitor for my home PC so dont need one but it's a good price fo sho'!

ya, I hear xps are great machines alright. Can't make up my mind about it though... the m2010 just seems like a monstrous machine. more of a portable desktop than a laptop..... but I think thats what I need really. I'll still have my work laptop for portability. Its also about 3k

I don't really have any major problems with a buying/selling thread as such as long as it's within the poker board community and it's poker related (ish).
    www.adverts.ie would be better though.

hey... cheers laf. but I wuould like to see it to a good home :D
and I do have it up on adverts, but thought id offer it here first.

Delanec8.... muso actually pm'd me before your first response... so will have to give him first option.

But if that doesnt work out, there is no problem taking a look at it. and yes, 700 is an excellent price for this monitor.

I'm based in Cork, so whoever can collect will steal the deal really.

I friend of mine who often 4 tables, siad that he doesn't need a big screen, he just maxes his res on his 19 inch.
I told him he was stupid as the text etc would be way too small. Is there any point trying it without a large screen. Max res on mine I can see four tables with no over lap on the 19 inch.

Here's a pic of 4 tables on a 17" laptop 1680x1050 res (macbook pro). Its fine for 4 tables, any more might be a problem tho.

    24" definatly nicer though!

mellor, of course its possible. But obviously the smaller the screen the smaller the text will be under the high resolution.
Alot of new 17/19" can go to a pretty high resolution, but sometimes it can look a bit fuzzy etc.

Don't think i'd bother, my monitor is a few years old, at least 7, res goes up to 1600x1200. But on 19inchs, I gets a headache.
I'll just look into hooking the laptop into the HD widescreen, ;)
