More of a teaser with a brief scene..

    Watch here @ Apple.com

Thought it had it's charm (especially the
rock & the hard place joke and the jab at 3D animation
).. but haven't watched a new Simpsons episode in about 5 years so can't really judge if it's up to current standards which apparently hasn't improved much.

PS - tried a search for the thread i made for the teaser trailer when that was first online.. but couldn't find it so if ixoy or Karl can, they can append this to that thread.

after approximately 9 seasons of pap (after season 9 it does kinda go downhill imo) you had hope for this movie in the first place?

I'm not letting myself look forward to this. If that's the best they could come up with for the trailer my hopes are very low. If they really wanted to do a movie they would have done it years ago. Why do it now except to squeeze a few more dollars out of the concept. Nothing will ever compare to the show in its glory days.

But its still early days yet so who knows.

I would still have some hope. Nearly every episode of Simpsons I've seen the last few years has been of a pretty poor quality alright but you do get the odd enjoyable episode, hopefully they'll pull this movie off, and to be honest, I think it probably will be of a watchable quality at the very least.

Hmm not much in that really is there? I'd call that a teaser still as opposed to a trailer proper.

Was an okay teaser trailer, although as pointed out, the South Park one is very similar and probably better.
Butters finally came up with an idea before the Simpsons. How ironic.

Oh its up to current standards alright. Given that current standards border between 'mildly amusing' and 'terrible'

Cool the way that SP teaser didn't give any indication of the greatness that was about to follow.

Maybe the Simpsons trailer will be a similar story. LOL who am I kidding! That Simpsons movie is going to be a steaming pile of shíte

Incidentally it'd be interesting to get a poll on this thread so see who is actually gonna bother going to this movie in cinemas. I've seen every single episode of the show so far and I'm still more than likely not going to bother attending a screening.

i saw the first trailer, the one where homers sitting there in the superman t-shirt and though, "ok, that was funny, maybe the film will be more like pre-season 9 or 10"

but after watching that pile of monkey p!ss, they can kiss my a$$ if they think i'm paying to see that rubbish

No matter how bad the movie is gonna be everyone is gonna go ad see it and its gonna be HUGE! Prob as popular as Star Wars, LOTR and James Bond.

I personally can't wait to see it and I know there'l be a few good jokes in there.

All the seem to be doing these days is torturing Homer. I saw the trailer on the Xmen 3 DVD and he was attacked by dogs. This trailer he is getting smacked against things. There is no intelligence anymore.

Homer is the funniest when he is talking not screaming in agony.

am i the only one that is rolling eyes at the fact that after stating the film was in 2D we see Homer in a 3D cgi crane?
