    Hi,
Ive recently wiped my labtop, and put a fresh OS onto it. Unfortnately i erased my dvd decoder and Media Player doesnt seem to come with one. I can only find plug-in's that requie a fee for the use.
I was wondering if anybody has came across a similar issue, and also anybody could suggest a good Open Source / free-ware one.

As above, also you might want to download K-Lite Codec pack for other sorts of media formats.

    Download GSpot from headbandsoftware..

Handy if you are trying to play a file and dont know what codec it uses. I alway advise against installing codec packs because they sometimes upset existing codecs you already have
