    Hi all,

Here're a few web pages I've found very useful:

Sun/moon rise/set calculator, and Sun/Moon altitude and azimuth calculator

Azimuth is the compass position where the sun or moon will be at a particular time, so with a compass and an OS map you can figure out where you need to be, and when, to get that lovely sunset. In both cases just enter the latitude/longitude of the place you want to get the table for.

Also useful is this tide calculator. It's a UK admiralty page, but covers loads of Irish ports as well.
