Hello there, I'm a student living on parnell st. I'm looking to get braodband and not sure what to do or who to set up with.

We have ntl digital and was wondering if ntl broadband is any use?
also we would like to avoid getting a phone line if possible, so could any one reccommend a BB provider who is relatively cheap as we're students :(

NTl BB for €20 a month on top of what you pay is the best deal although its a 1 year contract with 3 months free and free connect so you pay €9x20 total .

It should work better soon than it does at the minute.

It comes in over the same cable that the TV comes in on. That is pretty much all there is to it.

okay i have the BB comin in on monday.
There is 3 of us in the house, each with own laptop. I was wondering about the wireless router option and NTL BB?
is the eircom 25 eur router compatable for this? like multi connections. 2 max i'd say.

The eircom router is an ADSL modem/router. You're not getting ADSL, you're getting NTL cable broadband.

You can't use an ADSL router as a router on NTL cable broadband.

One that isn't an ADSL router.

    The Linksys WRT54g cokes well recommended. I'm using a D-Link DI-624 and a D-Link DI-624.
