Would this card running on a dual core and 2 gigs of memory be enough to play games like BF2 and half life on medium settings?

Yes. It will run Half Life 2 on high settings probably, as Source is an extremely efficent engine.

Battlefield 2 however will prob run in and about 800x600 with options on medium and some on low to guarantee a consistantly acceptable framerate.

I would definately shell out a few more euro if you are really interested in gaming, its a poor card for that purpose.

    I would recommend this:

    http://komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=318798

Just a tenner over your budget and will easily run BF2 at max settings.

    http://komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=323042

    http://komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=323510

These are also alright for 100-120 euro, not great but will do if you're on a really tight budget, will still run BF2 at high settings.

This 7300GT for €99 is also a great offer, as it comes with highly-clocked (600Mhz) GDDR3 memory -- and faster memory is very beneficial for performance, particularly with lower-end GPUs.

Plus, the 7300GT cores are reputedly easily clocked to 7600GS speeds (they have the same core, just slower out-of-the-box).

*edit* It's not fanless, however, so keep that in mind.

how come on komplett you can get the same graphics card made by different companies (eg. gainward, point of view etc)? Are they different or something?

Some companies (XFX spring to mind) offer better warranties than others; some offer better (or silent) cooling solutions; and also, the default core & memory speeds can differ by a large amount.

But meh, when buying, usually look at price first! ;)
