Novice seeks advice

First off, apologies if this is a repeat thread. I am here because i am a total novice and dont know where i could get another honest answer. So here is my request, I am going to buy a digital camera before x mas and i dont know what i am supposed to be looking for. This will be the first camera i've ever bought, so any assisstance would be helpful.
Here is what i'm looking for.
1. Roughly 100euro
2. Be good indoor and outdoor.
3. Good value for a novice
4. Easy to use
5. Be not easily broken

So there are the parameters, any help would be great.

If you can get the Canon for that price, it should serve you well. They're good little cameras, very straightforward to use.

Generally, you're safer sticking to well known manufacturers (eg Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Fuji, Sony) - they rarely produce a downright "bad" camera, and they'll usually have a decent lens. The noname ones that turn up at low prices in Lidl, Aldi etc can be a mixed bag.
