Move to new zealand and make sure my fmaily and friends never had money problems again

Give most of it away, keep 5 or 10 million MAX. You seriously don't need that much money to live a happy, comfortable life.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,172 ✭✭✭Don1

Build loads of posh rental property.
Secure the financial future of family and close friends (dificult. ie how do set a cut off point)
Move to Monaco and start a ridiculous supercar collection.
Buy the mother of all guitar set ups and install in my very own studio.
    Oh happy days.

Or just blow it on blow!

Play the stock market, ask for a tip in the Horse Racing forum or see Office Space quote below. :)

Peter: What would you do if you had a million dollars?
Lawrence: I'll tell you what I'd do, man: two chicks at the same time, man.
Peter: That's it? If you had a million dollars, you'd do two chicks at the same time?
Lawrence: Damn straight. I always wanted to do that, man. And I think if I were a millionaire I could hook that up, too; 'cause chicks dig dudes with money.
    Peter: Well, not all chicks.
Lawrence: Well, the type of chicks that'd double up on a dude like me do.
    Peter: Good point.

Charity would be a big benificiery(sp?) if I won it. Im not into cars or such so I'd buy a decent thing and make sure people(friends, family) are sorted and all that. Wouldnt even buy a massive house cos I wouldnt need it, just buy a house that is a bit bigger than the one I live in now. Holidays would be plentiful though. I'd still work cos then theres nothing to live for I dont think.

Pay off all my families mortgages.

Buy myself a house in galway, apartments in dublin/new york/paris/rome/london
    A house in california.

Have a piss up in all of the above with my friends.

Equip my california house with a full working microbiology lab(including clean room.

Donate everything left over but the last 10-15 million to charity. An educating people one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,184 ✭✭✭✭Pighead

Pighead would buy out Boards, knock it down and build an online apartment complex. The sewarage tank would go where The Cuckoos Nest once lay.

wow i cant believe how many people would just give away to charities, why?
how could you trust a charity to do right with the money?
I would use the money to set up my own origination and use it to make the country (not the world just ireland because 10-15 million would barley make a difference with 3rd word debt being what it is) i would turn ireland into a paradise with almost no crime, i say almost because u cant stop rapes or pedos and similar crimes but you can stop petty crimes and thefts/breakins and do allot more to stop larger crimes. no homeless ext

keeping 10-15 million to myself still leaves a huge amount of money for charity, with everything i want to buy for myself, lets leave 100 million say. why would i give it to them? Because I have no use for it, and honestly don't want the hastle or publicity that comes from running a high profile charity.

I forgot to do the euro millions. :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,919 ✭✭✭Bob the Builder

    Make a major website = €1,000,000
    Share €49,000,000 between family...
    Give €25,000,000 to charity

    save €50,000,000
Spend €50 on Boards to subscribe :P
...hmm, i'm not sure about the rest...*

    * this is a presumption that I'm over 18 and if I did win it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,458 ✭✭✭CathyMoran

Woulld fund more PET scanners, help the Irish Cancer Society, Beaumont Hospital, Crumlin Childrens Hospital, help with that childrens hospice appeal (LauraLynn), fund more insulin pump educators and fund more insulin pumps...then I would look after my family and friends and go back to college for the rest of my life.

doesn't it - after a certain stage - get divided out among the other prizewinners so every winner gets an extra euro or so lol?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,225 ✭✭✭wba88

not like that but i think if it gets close to (around 200m i think not too sure though) the next best win (5numbers and 1star i think) gets it or divides it between them

    Winning Numbers
    14 21 27 30 36 Stars 02 03

    NO-ONE WON!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,467 ✭✭✭smemon

whats all this rubbish about giving it all away and only keeping a few mill

i'd buy a yacht, a few ferrari's and build a mini palace out in the country with a private helicopter.

I'd also buy a private learjet if i'd cash left over

there you go, 150m gone in a few seconds. It's nothing nowadays. You're not rich unless you're a BILLIONAIRE.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,225 ✭✭✭wba88

Buy a house for me and the gf, and new houses for the family, give money to friends.

And see where it goes from there!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,248 ✭✭✭Plug

Next week I think you only have to get 5 numbers.

So seriously what would be the first thing you'd do?

    I'd buy a bugatti.

mclaren SLR would be ordered methinks, and build a garage to park it in too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 81,220 ✭✭✭✭biko

I'd buy Tetiaroa from Marlon Brandons wife. Me and Evangeline Lilly would be very happy there I think.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

    from Guardian
Next week's prize is an estimated £120 million, and if no-one picks the five winning numbers and two Lucky Stars, the cash will be distributed among the next tier of winners.

There were 12 winners of the next tier tonight, they got over €600,000.

    Mike.

Last week me and the lads in college all did the euro millions and agreed if one of us won it we would give all the others half a million. We all shook hands on it and agreed when we noticed one of the lads hadn't shook at all...

...needless to say he is from Cavan.

He just stood there going "Whoa there lads hang on now HALF A MILLION, do i have to give half a million!!"

Now I know ppl say Cavan men are mean but ffs not parting with money he doesnt even posses!!!!111

20 minutes later we had all signed a contract binding us to the agreement.

    Mean cavan bast......

Of course you can remain annoy-mouse, its just hard to when you pull up outside the house in a Bentley Arnage when you live in a semi-d! Either that or some relation will have a big gob on them.

I know you can remain anonymous for the Irish Lotto but I heard that it's in the Terms and Conditions of the Euromillions that you have to go public. Can't seem to find it online though. It's the reason my mam doesn't do it, she reckons no amount of money is worth having to worry about kidnap threats/security.
