For €399 you can get the 80gb, reckon it's a better buy if you are going to use a lot of videos. Would recommend the iPod either way.

I've had the 80G iPod for about a month now and I find it great. Haven't tried out any others, though.

Just trawling the net and the Zen vision M seems to be highly reccomended.Any known problems with either the Apple or creative units?

Zen Vision:M 60GB is available for 307.79e from creative.ie inc VAT&delivery. I had an ipod in which half the screen broke and a month later the hard drive went. Now I know both these players can break but from doing my research I'd agree with your statement of the Zen being recommended. Basically the Zen has better sound, screen (256,000 compared to 64,000 colours) and video playing capabilities (you dont have to convert your downloaded vids to .mov and therefore lose quality) but is slightly more bulky and requires a player other than itunes.

So if you can do without that, which shouldn't be too much of a prob considering itunes 7.02 has been crashing my pc since they released the new and "improved" version, plus like the 100e price advantage over the ipod 80GB then go for it!

One of my friends who doesn't have a breeze about technology summed it up for me like this: "You're buying a music/video player for the quality of the music/video right? So why would you get the ipod then? For the style? Ya pansy!"

If you have xvid or divx avi's ( prison break, lost etc ;) ) , the m vision is the only choice.

Looks like the Zen it is so!

Just went to the checkout there and its giving me the error

"This page is no longer available on the server.

Please go back to the European Home Page."

    Then going in circles?

Is that after you entered in all your details and credit card n that? It could just be a simple timeout error otherwise. It happens.

Have you looked at the Archos 404/604?
