Which camera?

Hi Guys
Apologies if you have been asked 1000 times before,but i did a search and im none the wiser.

Im looking to buy a digital camera,id like one that would possibly be good with moving action shots and general use ie for pics out and about but yet not overly large and bulky,ie would fit in your pocket but doesnt have to be miniscule.

Ive been looking thru the Argos book there but ive a feeling prices are extortion from them,so 2 things.

1:Can you help reccomend me a camera in the 2-350 price range

And

2:Can you reccomend a place to buy from.I see pixmania mentioned alot aswell as ebay but are there any other irish or uk retail/online outlets that are good?
