IP Address Conflict

    I can't seem to connect to the internet because i am getting an error message stating the system has detected an IP address conflict with another system on the network.

    Any ideas how i can fix it???

    how big is this network????, I suspect you have connection sharing turned on (network control panel , local area connection properties somewhere ) so turn it off and reboot after disconnect , connect network cable once you have booted up
