[REQUEST] Hard Drive Media Player

    Anyone know where i can get my hands on a cheap one of these with a hard drive included. Something similar to the one that was on special in pc world a while back ( 50 gig - €50).....Looking for something for about 150 euro with decent size memory....cheers

    You mean 'decent size storage' :confused: Prob ebay is your best bet, Maplins are doing them too...

    Get an xbox second hand for around 50 - 60 neurons

    Get a mod chip (no soldering required from http://www.modchipstore.com

    Install XBMC (Open Source and Free)
    http://www.xboxmediacenter.de/

    (If you need a copy let me know)

    You now have a box that will connect to any SMB share (Windows, Linux or Mac) and will play ANY media format out there. I've used a few of these hardware media player boxes and they never work with all formats, or their jerky etc.

    Hell you could even take out the stock harddrive in the Xbox and Stick in a 350 GB disk.
