Yeh Village gig was a big let down but they were really good the second time they played here. I think it'll depend on what Tripod is like (is it open yet?).

To be honest, I think the Village took a lot away from the gig.

Hopefully Tripod will be a setup!

Playing Tripod on 1st of Feb.

Saw them in The Village last year and they were class.

Cold War Kids are supporting Clap Your Hands Say Yeah in Tripod next month.

Anybody heading to the gig should try get there in time to see them.

They're album "Robbers and Cowards" is awesome and def already a contender for album of the year.

Argh I'm raging that I put off getting tickets for this. My own fault though:mad: Might try head down on the night anyway and hope someone has a couple of spare tickets :/

Village gig was pretty poor. They played loads of new stuff which sounded like it may have been good but the village being the worst venue in Dublin meant there was no chance of appreciating any of it. They were excellent at the mysterious second irish gig they played.

AnonoBoy appreciated it. I got there early and got up near the front over to stage left - probably about the only place you can hear a band properly in Le Village.

Anyone at cyhsy last night? Thought it was decent. Strange crowd though. A bit of a squeeze getting out. Where did all the drunken students come from??

Gig was always best when they were playing stuff off their debut album. I don't really like their new album so my opinions might be biased. I missed them the last couple of times they been in Ireland and have heard a few critical opinions about their live performances but i actually thought they were pretty good so maybe they have improved.

I thought the gig was excellent, nice mix of new and old stuff!
    Encore was great too :D

excellent performance! CYHSY were class ..... and Cold War Kids are definitely one to watch out for .... their album came across really well on the stage, albeit a short performance.

Was at this years and last years too. Thought it was a pile of sh*te.
No crowd interaction, terrible new songs from the second album. So disappointing.

Not being a fan I really didn't know what to expect from these guys. I had heard their first album a few times and really liked a couple of the tracks. I approached the night with an open mind. However, as much as i wanted to like them, they were ****e. It just smacked of a lazy performance. They seemed to be riding on the tail coats of their success without ever really trying. As for the crowd, well, it was obviously the gig for all the hip people to be seen at... 'Like ya, Fionn!'

I'll stick with talking heads I think.
