I do notice though that it gives different filenames when the blue screen appears. If I check the battery level in Power Options it gives what looks like a correct reading. The battery LED on the laptop does not indicate a problem either. I have restored it to its factory software settings and it is still the same. Anyone come across anything like this?

I'd call HP. Probably an issue they're aware of.
