I have. Overall it was a positive experience. I had ordered it too late on a Friday for it to ship, so I figured that my item would have shipped Monday. The order status page was a little ambiguous, but I found out that it didn't ship until the Wednesday, but I did get it by Friday. The 2-day shipping is technically correct. It was my first purchase from them, so I don't know if that's typical. I was only buying a memory card for my camera, so not a big deal and I did get it in time for the weekend...

I got my 20D + Grip and 1Gb card off them. That was before I discovered the joys of the Hong Kong eBayers. I had no problems at all with them and saved myself about €500 at the time on the above.
I'd go with HK every time now though, you save that bit more, and delivery times are equal or even better than Pixmania.

I seen a 30D on pixmania or €1100 would HK be cheaper?

Also my experience of Pixmania was excellent. No problems

Bought loads form them, from cameras to dvd players and only last week I purchased a 32inch Samsung LCD from them. In all about 10 transactions with them over the last year or so and everyone of them have been spot on and very quick delivery. The tv I bought from them last week, was ordered on Saturday evening and was here on Wednesday morning.

€893....add about €100 for shipping and insurance, so about €1000 even.

ive used pixmania a few times , and they were fine when all is well -- but they sent me the wrong stuff once -- and it was a nightmare to get stuff replaced -- nightmare -- perpetual automated phone service , waits of one on the phone, to speak to someone -- they seam to have a massive staff turnover as well , so i was promised different things from different folk . Never again.

it seems like that with a lot of big sales related organisations....for example Dell, BT, Chorus, QuinnDirect......."press 1 if your a new customer...press 2 if your enquiring about blaa blaa" i think all these places have huge turnover in their staff coz they pay them **** wages and treat them with the same distain they reserve for their customers.....too bad huh?

I just received my brand new 30D :D:D from Kea-photo, through Ebay, from Hong Kong. It was ordered on Saturday. Customer Service was excellent. Paid no Duty or VAT as it was marked as worth 200 Kong Kong Dollars.
Amount paid was EUR 1024, body only.

Now I just have to wait til Christmas day til my wife gives it to me :(:(

Bought plenty of stuff from pixmania (not just camera equipment) and never had any problems apart from manuals being PDF only.

Call me old skool but I just don't trust those kung foo d00des on ebay, I suppose the level of fake a$$ crap being relabeled as "SanDisk 2GB Extreme IV Ultra" doesn't exactly inspire confidence  :D

Have bought 3 or 4 computer items/car stereo equipment from them and no complaints but there are a few horror stories on the boards...

I bought from them during the summer and have to say
they were a great service. It was a bit annoying that I
had to scan a bill and mail it to them. I've only had to
do that one other time when purchasing something from America.

    I'd give them 4.5/5

I was actually impressed that you had to send off a drivers licence scan or a bill as proof of address, it shows they actually give a sh*te about scammers.

I agree Roen, but at the time it was quite annoying as it
delayed it a day and I was heading on holiday the day after.
    All worked out though :)

I've only used Pixmania once to buy a camera and it was good.
Only problem I had was paying the €25 (or something) for express
delivery which took a week. Contacted them about it but they
were no use. Basicially said somethnig along the lines of it left
    our warehouse quickly.

I bought twice from pixmania, going back a year ago now.
    First purchase, ho hassle.
Second purchase was of an mp3 player worth €250.
Was in stock when ordered. A few days later a package was delivered to my work address while i was out. All that was in the package was an adapter for a european plug socket.
As far as pixmania was concerned, my order was delivered and signed for and it took me weeks of emails to them (generally waiting 48 hrs for a reply) and also contacted my card company to try to get my money back.
It turns out eventually the item was not in stock and they didn't know if it ever would be again.
Every time I wrote an email, I had to explain the whole thing from scratch again.
Also, at that time, you had to send an email via their website, their was no point in directly replying to any email they sent, i just got an auto reply.
Can't remeber now why I didn't use their phone number but maybe it was that i was holding for 20 mins at a time.

Eventually did get my money back but it was hard work and you don't want it hanging over you for weeks.
I may just have been unlucky but every company is fine to deal with until there is a problem, that's when you need them to be responsive and in my experience, they were not and I would not deal with them again.

I buy almost all my gear from websites and would recommend technikdirekt.com and 7dayshop. some people complain about 7dayshop but I've dealt with them for over 2 years and never had a problem . The delivery is slow (could be 5-10 days) but other than that they've been fine. They don't seem to carry as much variety of stock as they used to though.
Most recently purchased a 1GB sd card for about €20 delivered.

They've got an option to dispatch goods that same day for £3 extra.

Very cheap with Camera batteries, memory, tripods and filters.
