what is region free?

booked my xbox today and jsut wondering bout some sutff with it, mainly games?

Like in the past consoles have always been regioned etc. Games here are insane priced and was wondering is the 360 region free?

I dont want to engage in any legal ****e if you get my drift with a console worth 500 euro and want to know if games are legally region free, so i can buy of ebay =D

If a game is region free it has no region coding set be the developer so games from any region will play in 360's from any region. Nothing illegal

Look around the play asia site for a list of region free games.

This has all the region free games on the site. Avoid Ebay because you will get ripped off. Play Asia is definitely worth it even if you have to wait that little bit extra.

Indeedy. The console is region free, so it depends on each game whether it's region free or not. Play-Asia is a great place to get Asian games cheaply.

Wouldn't agree with this, seems a bit like scaremongering too
If you're going to buy on Ebay, check out the sellers, see how much feedback they have. There are plenty of small companies in Hong Kong that deal through Ebay that have thousands of positive feedback. Just don't buy from people that have low feedback or lots of negatives and you'll be fine. Even if the worst happens and you get ripped off, Paypal will cover it, and if they don't, your CC company/bank will. Remember, if something looks too good to be true, it usually is, and that's how people often get ripped off on Ebay. If you see an Xbox360 on Ebay for $100 buyout and the guy has no feedback... well.... I pity the fool that falls for that

Ok if its region free but its an asian title will the language of the game be in Japenese and Chinese ETc and will the Manual have engligh Instructions

Entec - sometimes you can be lucky and it will arrive a week after the order is placed. To be honest, 2 weeks wait is well worth a game you pay half the price game stores in Ireland are charging. Available here
