Can someone please tell me what is happening with RTE and Greys anatomy... One week they are showing a quality medical drama and next week it's "the clinic".

    Did i miss an announcment?

I think it's on hold while they show the Clinic, so it'll back when that series is over. Apparently The Clinic has 10 episodes, so they must be about half way through by now.

It is on LivingTV every Thursday at 10 too, but you'll have missed a few episodes.

Out of interest, what was the last episode that RTE showed?

But do you think it is likely that rte will show grey's anatomy when the clinic finishes or will it be er? rte usually start showing the new season of er late november time at this time slot so far as i can remember.

To be honest .. who knows, least of all RTE  ?

RTE are just pants when it comes to viewer loyalty. Once I found about them suspending Grey's Anatomy for The Clinic, I switched to watching it on Living (not me actually, but the mot). So that's at least one viewer RTE have lost for GA and one that won't return. As soon as channel4/e4 get ahead of RTE, despite starting behind, with er, RTE will have lost the same viewer there too.

I was a fan of the West Wing but it got to the stage that I could only watch it on tape as RTE pushed the start time later and later as the seasons progressed.

They used to run the Larry Sanders Show late on a Monday evening but then stopped about a year ago and it hasn't re-appeared.

If you have digital TV, vote with your remote and watch your favourite programmes elsewhere.

Its likely the ER will take The Clinics place after it finishes. Would it have been so difficult for them to find a new timeslot because God nows they havve so much BS at the moment or even move it to RTe2 were it should have been in the first place. The fading ER still amazes me how popular it is in Ireland. Its not the most uplifting programme for people to finish out their weekend.

How is Grey's Anatomy a summer show? They have just cut the series of in the middle of season 2 and expect people to remember what happened a year late next summer. This could have been a bigger show for RTE if they gave it the support it deserved itstead of kicking it to the curb.
