    LG 32" LCD-TV 32LC3R

    Have people bought off Komplett?

I reckon this would be better than the aldi tv? Would it? Off to post on the tech forum now!

in answer to your komplett question.. yes people have bought from them :D Including thousands of people on boards.... so much so komplett has its own paid forum because of all the business boards generates for them.

TV looks good... i would wait till after Christmas...they will start coming down and especially when the new laser TVs come out

I am not talking about this tv,but lcd tvs in general.

I heard from a friend today that a lot of lcd tvs dont have 1080i/p and that xbox360,ps3,will use that resolution and that basically people should look for lcd tvs that have it,otherwise people are going to be disappointed.

From what i have seen, its only the expensive lcd tvs that have that mode.

I just thought i mention it in case people think every lcd tv is just like another.
    :)

Do you think this one is a good buy for an 11 year old's bedroom?

    www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp;jsessionid=U0LLLAJWQMSXFKC4D3MVAGQ?type=product&id=1130986316511

It's reduced to €337.64 in Argos at the moment

They're expensive cos they're HD ready, whether they're any good or not is debatable. I hadn't heard that xbox360 and ps3 were going to be just 1080i/p, that's a big step for both companies to take considering the small proportion of TV's that work at that standard. It's something that all prospective xbox360 and ps3 owners should be aware of though, good call :)

AFAIK nearly all Xbox 360 games are 720... I've played mine using 720 n 1080 n i cant tell the difference...

    xbox 360 uses 720p or 1080i for high-defination but not 1080p yet
all hd tvs will do 720p and 1080i

But technically don't all standard HD TV's only run at 720p but can downscale 1080i to 720p ? Personally I can't see the difference between 1080i and 720p on my 360 & Samsung 32"er. But I know it only supports a resolution of 1380x768 Ie 720P or there abouts. So how can it support 1080i ? The TV doesn't support a resolution of 1920x1080... Its only 1380x768.

one is interlaced (i) and the other is progressive-scan (p)

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/720p#720p_versus_1080i

There is a difference between 1080i and 1080p btw

All that said you may be right about the scalling...
