Hi Folks, myself and the family are off to Perth in early December and have a couple of quick questions i hope can be answered......

    1) itinery is shannon-heathrow-dubai-perth. Would you check your luggage at shannon and collect at perth or collect it at heathrow and send it on to perth from there, dont want to loose it.

    2) duty free, can i get it at shannon ?

3)i know the they are strict in Australia about importing wood products but would 2 hurleys be ok, anyone have any issues about bringing a hurley in before ? should i put it on the declaration card or say nowt ?

Thanks in advance folks, if i think of anything else ill add it later.

I'd put it the whole way through, but if you want to be completely safe about it then collect it at Heathrow (if you have enough time)

Not too sure on the other issues.

between landing and taking off i have over 5 hours at heathrow, but thats getting from t1-t3 and checking in a couple of hours before, its not a big thing, but there will be 5 of us and dont want to be draging all that luggage around for 4 or 5 hours.....its just the getting lost thing, i know its a low % but dont want to take the chance and dont want to drag 5 large cases around either......i know, i have some big issues...:D

I am going to Sydney myself for Xmas and will definitely be collecting my bags in Heathrow. Not taking the chance.

Duty free can not be bought in Shannon as you are not leaving the EU on the flight departing Shannon. You can buy items there but with duty added.

Dont know about the hurleys though.
