Drop down menu problem (at times)

When I click on a users name to get the drop down menu (view profile, last 20 posts, ban this user etc) nothing happens at times. Now here is the strange thing - if the thread is a single page in length it works but if the posts go on to a second or third page nothing happens. Any ideas?
