So with the demise of sky news Ireland will sky be providing any output for their irish veiwers espically since they increased the customer numbers by 14,000 last year?

I understood that it didn't matter how many viewers where watching sky news ireland as sky are a subscription service. At least thats what they said when Sky News Ireland start the first time out.

Has sky got plans to put Channel 6 and City Channel on their service? Will Setanta Sports be part of the basic Sky package in Ireland?

Sorry if this was brought up before!

    Something I read on ENN:
    ENN wrote:
In the wake of Sky News switching off its twice-nightly Irish news bulletin -- with the loss of 21 jobs in Dublin and five in Belfast -- Sky Ireland said it will be concentrating on new media outlets for continuing its Irish content. The company said it is refocusing its efforts on the Irish arm of the Sky.com website, and on mobile TV news content which will include an Irish news bulletin.
