    Hi All,

Want to buy a Van. Orignally thought of going for a VW Caddy or a Seat Inca (same thing really!)

But just spotted a 03 Fiat Doblo at a very good price with very low mileage.

Was wondering if anyone has experience with Fiat Doblo's?
I have a Fiat car at present so I am familiar with Fiat but not their Van.

The Van in question is a 1.9 Diesel.

    Thanks

    go to www.fiatforum.com

They have a Doblo forum, and can answer all your questions

They don't seem to be too badly built, and the 1.3 multijet seems to be the engine to go for

The 1.9 Fiat diesel has a very good reputation. If you can live with the looks of that yoke, you probably won't go far wrong. Don't expect any resale value though.

I had a Citroen/Fiat 2.0 turbo diesel van and couldn't fault it tbh, great to go, great on fuel and just the right size. Not to sure about the one your on about, I heard they're heavy on fuel and not exactly fast either.

    Cheers Lads.
Not overly worried about speed. Need the space!

is it a lot cheaper than a Caddy/Inca or Opel Combo?

Yes. under 6K. 48000 miles. Looks spotless (from the pictures).
Don't think id get a caddy or inca for that and the opels i've seen look terrible.

How about this Inca, mileage is low, and they're a good van. and you could get it for under €6k

Or here's a 2003 Caddy with the desirable TDI engine for €6,250

We've 2 Inca's at work (both 1.9 SDI) and they're great wee vans, though sometimes I think load space is somewhat limited.

    Very reliable though.

Used to have at work a Fiat Scudo 1.9L Diesel which was a great van also. I was told it had a Peugeot engine.

either way I don't think the Fiat is cheap enough to justify buying it.
