    Hi,

I have a Kodak Cx 7530 compact and it is pretty big and I am thinking of changing to a slimmer more up to date version. I have narrowed it down to the following

    1. Fuji Finepix F30
    2. Panasonic Lumix FX 01 (or FX7)
    3. Canon IXUS 800 IS

If anyone has experience with any of these cameras I would really appreciate the input

    Thanks

    Shakeydude:)

can't go wrong with the canon, the panasonic is great...not a fuji fan for whatever reason i dunno, not too much experience with them I guess

pick the one with the largest sensor size (inches, not megapixels), and fastest startup time - those will be most important things for supersmall digisoap :)

Canon. No doubt about it. Tiny camera but produces superb photos, esp. with the image stabilisation. There's also a very fast continuous shooting mode, which is hugely useful.

indeed when it comes down to it i'd pick canon, i don't think saying sensor size is correct, the size doesn't effect the image overly...the quality of the ccd is what i'd base my purchase on for a new p&s

damn waste of my 2000'th post

    I demand a re count

    Ha!!!

    Told you you'd waste it!

I'd say the canon, gets quite good reviews. I guess I could advise you to go into a camera shop, and play around with the 3 models. See which your most comfortable with, and then buy off the internet?

Your 2000th post was not wasted, I think that I will get the Canon,
1 based on past history, Canon has an excellent reputation and the menu are supposed to be easy to manage
2 the memory card in Fuji is used solely in Fuji (& Olympus) and the SD cards are more widespread and upload quicker that the xD
3 the fact that my girly friend is going for the Panasonic FX01,
4 My Old Dear has a Canon printer, which is handy
5 28mm lens in the Canon for the wide angle

We are in Singapore at the moment and we priced them yesterday, they started at E300 with case and memory card (512MB-1GB) but we managed to get them down to E75, we went in today and they wont budge past E200, we have lost our Dell Boy power. We must look too desparate, flock

Thanks for the help and no post is a wasted post;)

Ah I better apologise for that... It was a kinda joke about the quality of our 2000th posts, both mine and Mela's.

There was nothing wrong with it, and I'm glad it helped you!
