Sack Race EPL

Surprised there hasnt been a thread on this yet. Discounting David o Learys sacking from Villa before the season started, who do people think will be first to go?

    The main contenders are

    Glen Roeder - NUFC
    Alan Pardew - WHFC
    Ian Dowie - CAFC
    Martin Jol - THFC
EDIT : Stuart Pearce - MCFC (how did I forget that?)

I think the latter is a long long shot, but their start has been less than what is acceptable for Spurs in recent seasons. My money is on Roeder being ousted soonest. Disasterous start to the season, which is showing no signs of getting better could see him gone.

    Thoughts?

I have a feeling Roeder will be out by Monday. What else can Shepherd do apart from sell his shares? We're practically bottom of the league and the crowd have unanimously turned against him, which means he has to do something with the transfer window closed.

In all fairness, can we afford to wait until christmas to get a new manager?

I don't think replacing Roeder will fix the underlying problems.
Shepard has made bad decision after bad decision and still has his job.
There also seems to be a corolation between Given being injured and our recent run of results?

The games we have coming up after Man City (A) are not easy games for any club.

I think the only way that Shephed can worm his way out of the firing line is by appointing Keegan alongside Shearer, and even that would probably end in disaster. Spurs are very lucky to have Martin Jol. I hope they sack him so we can have him.

dowie will be given a season at the very least, and one more after that as long as charlton don't get relegated. they know the benefits of stability as much as anyone after curbishleys reign.

maybe stuart pearce should also be worried about his job?

i think glen roeder is probably in most danger...

I think that Roeder is in more trouble than Pardew, if that's possible, especially after today's defeat has now left them in the bottom 3. Newcaste see themselves as a top 5 club, not relegation struggelers.

Some managers job's who are safe, IMO - Even if they get relegated:

Aidy Bothroyd (Watford) - as he said himself they are building for the long-term future of the club.

Sheffield Utd. manager (can't remember his name)

Martin Jol's job is just about safe, IMO.

Havent been following the Prem too much this season but was Chris Colemans job not looking ropey at one stage?

    Gareth Southgate
He could be out of a job this week or next week if he doesn't pass his badges.

He's only in the job with dispensation from UEFA, which runs out in the next couple of weeks.

The SheffYoo manager is Neil Warnock btw.

I think what was said on MOTD last night rings true for Roeder. He has too many strikers on the injury list, so I can't see him getting sacked. Good manager imo.

i think Roeder will be gone if Newcastle lose their next league match

Roeder is serious trouble. With Alan Curbishley now able to move to any club without Charlton needing compensation i can see Newcastle getting him.

It doesnt matter how many strikers Newcastle have injuried, as long as dont bother trying to fix their defence they will always struggle. I think Dowie is pretty safe. They have been unlucky with results i think and yesterdays win will be huge for them.

Roeder has to be odds-on favourite at this stage. Never thought he was the man for the job to begin with.
