Improving signal Quality on a Sky Satellite?

Hi folks, Having moved out of Dublin, I got Sky installed in the last two weeks and when I do a signal Test, I see the Signal Strength is at 100% while the Signal Quality is maybe 66%. It has a noticeable effect on the picture. Any way of improving the quality of the signal? (Dish was installed by the official Sky lad).

    Thanks in advance!

try rotating the LNB in its case. It sort of clicks back and forward.

P.S. You can't improve the quality of the Satellite, only of your Reception :)

What size dish is it? 100% quality is unusual! Too MUCH signal and the quality deterioates. Put layers of wet dish cloth on LNB (the lumpy bit at end of arm facing dish) till LEVEL drops to 75%. See what this does to quality.

Is your cable run very short? Adding 20m of cable if the cable run is only 3m or so might improve Quality! The system design assumes a maximum signal (minimum length of cable, maximum size of dish..)

Thanks for the reply Watty. Just to clarify, I got this info from the Signal Test option in the System Setup menu under Services. Bad weather today so the signal quality is around 50% even though the Strength is still 100%. Weird.

How would I determine my cable length?
    Cheers!
