Use this thread to ask a quick question that only requires a simple answer, and not a discussion

    first Q

Is a chicken fillet, 2 eggs and a glass of milk a good PWO meal?

You might want sometimes that absorbs a little faster and leave that, which is essentially a meal, till a bit later after your workout?

Better than nothing, but problems include
1] milk - slows down absorbtion of the meal, PWO nutrients should get into your bloodstream asap
2] eggs - not a huge problem, but generally avoid too much fat PWO
3] barely any carbs - however much protein you're taking in, double it in carbs.

Chicken fillet sandwich with water & you're laughing.

Didn't know that. What I'd have PWO would depend on whether I WO(!?) in the morning or evening (morning about 85% of the time). If it was morning I'd have a protien shake straight after then when I get to my desk about 15 mins later I'd just chew on a chicken breast, i'd usually have a break fairly soon after so I'd just grab something from the canteen (brown bread and a few saussages). If it was the evening then I guess dinner would be my PWO meal.

So should I be having milk with the dinner and my canteen snack? I've been drinking milk with every meal since I was about 5 and old habbits die hard...

Straight after a work out I always take a protein shake with water (absorbs quicker) and then have my meal once i get home. All within an hour, protein shake within 15mins.
