Anyone know of any policies/programs that can either logoff or shutdown pc's at night. Looking to run it company wide...

    Thanks

We use NightWatchman where I work. Its good, quite configurable.

Assuming you're using a Windows domain, it should be easy enough to force automatic logoff of PC's after whatever time of day you want, after a certain idle period or whatever, without needing any extra software.

There's an application that comes with XP PCs, (possibly only XP pro) called shutdown.exe.

Just type shutdown at the dos prompt to get details. It allows remote shutdowns and can be just run from a batch file. You can also set a warning time, where a message comes up on the screen with a countdown timer, warning any users that their computer will be shutdown.

Every company should run them imho, the amount of PC's left on in the BBC is a ****ing joke.
