hi, maybe this is the wrong place to post this, but I haven't found any better.
I have a Breitling and I need to change the steel strap with a new one that I have ordered online.
I don't want to bring my watch to the first watch repairer, I need a good one as my watch is pretty expensive. I don't mind to pay for it, I just want to know where I can find a serious watch repairer in Dub.
I was thinking at Temple Bar Jewellers, but do you have any suggestions guys?
    thank you in advance

Good independent watch repair specialist at the Stephens Green end of Dawson St - upstairs. Can't remember which side of the road, but you'll find it easily enough.

I think that watch repair place on Wicklow St. is called Lawlor & Lawless (or something very similar). They are two nice elderly gents who are a whizz at repairs, even unusual ones. Definately seek them out. They also repair clocks btw..

Forget weirs, overrpiced and the staff doing the inhouse repair, less said the better. Bring your watch into Paul Sheerans in town and ask for Giovanni - he is their resident horologist. They have a watchmaker/repairer based in Kilkenny who previously worked for Aspreys in London and the swatch group in eastleigh hants. I have just recently left my omega seamaster in to them for a repair and overhaul/refurb as it's 4 years old. They are also Breitlin agents - maybe best not to mention the bracelet was bought online as they can get snooty regarding online dealers etc.

Mr. Lalor [watch repairs] is retiring at the end of this month (August 08) and Mr. Lawless [clockmaker] has moved (apparantly) to 3 Manor Street, Dublin 7. Tel 670 9944.

Mr. Lalor is referring his watch repair business to a former employee, Mr. Ken McDonagh of the Dawson Jewellers Ltd. Tel 678 5271

Breretons (or however you spell that) on Capel street would come recommended from myself. Got a strap replaced on a 1970's watch when a few other places said they couldn't as it was 'unusual'.
