Broadworks

    Does anybody know anything about broadworks cable tv? (www.broadworks.tv)

    i've moved into a new estate and these guys seem to be the only people offering tv (bar sky) in the estate.....just not too sure who they are/ or if anybody else has used them and if they are any good or if there are problems with their service.

    Plus they dont provide sky news or sky 1...which i think is a bit unusual.

    Stay away from them if possible!!!!!

    I had them until a few months ago.... Here's my summary:

    Pros
    1) OK price-wise (Think it was €18.99 per month - just about a pro)
    2) You can get 1MB broadband from them for another €19.99 per month
    3) At least they're Irish :)
    4) Wouldn't worry about not having sky news, they have BBC News 24


    Cons
    1) Service disruption every now and again on various different channels. (They relay Sky Digital Signals, and you sometimes see the Blue sky with the program banner on the bottom)
    2) Sound/Vision on CH4 constantly out of sync
    3) Channels change regularly (I actually had Sky 1 and Sky Sports 1 when i got them first)
    4) Terrible customer care. Really seems like a one man show.


    Other observations
    1) Strange choice of channels. Some good and some bad!!!


    Overall, I'd go with $KY. You also probably have the option of NTL mmds or chorus.
