The Alleged "Fourth Villain"

If it's Mysterio, he may just appear as a character played by Bruce Campbell in a movie within the movie, a scene in which Peter Parker walks onto the set of a big-screen adaptation of his own life. This sounds very strange and pretty hard to believe Raimi would put this into the film, really undervalues the whole "villian" element of a superhero film. Then again it is just a rumour.

Well the other rumour that I think someone here pointed out was that Bruce Campbell was going to play Mysterios alter ego in a tv interview in the background of one of the scenes.

Exactly. I think Beast also had a cameo in the first. When Logan is in teh bar drinking after his fight, an interview can be heard on the tv in the background, and I think it's with beast. Could be wrong though.

Interesting... they did shoot the scene where Uncle Ben gets shot again.. but with Thomas Haden Church now in the scene.

I'#m pretty sure it's in the first one too. They have the scene where Jean is talking to congress (or whoever) and it flicks to a news cast of the UN meeting taking place at the statue of liberty. As it flicks back to the bar it mentions that they are interviewing Hank McCoy as Rogue is looking at the jar of money. I'm going to have to watch them again...

A little bit off topic but there's rumours that a new Spiderman 3 teaser / trailer will be released with the new James Bond film, Casino Royale, on November 17th.

Maybe it will shed some light on the 4th Villian?

Hank does appear in a cameo interview on tv in the first X-men movie, but he hasn't got his blue fur yet.

I'm pretty sure the scene with Hank in the background on the TV was in the 2nd film. It was the scene where Mystique seduces the security guard.

Bruce Cmpbell recently said in an interview with regards to Spidey 3 *warning possible spoiler*

that him and spidey team up at some point in the movie and fans should use their imagination

Now whether that was tongue in cheek i dont know but it was interesting.

Yeah, I just watched the two films (granted I could have just zipped to those scenes, but I've a lot of free time!) and the HAnk is mentioned in the 2nd one. I could have sworn it was in the first, but the actuall tv bits in these scenes are identical so I guess that's why I got it wrong.
