It's been a very long time since we last received a major/minor update to the NTL digital lineup or EPG. Alot has been changing within the company, for one I can never get through to their customer support/sales line.

I've heard rumors of channel 5 possibly launching with Irish ad opt outs, plus the other UKTV channels.

Has anyone heard anything of what is coming, as it's all very static, with no information for some time.

They are fixing the network first. A huge job, esp in Chorus areas. Esp Esp on Chorus MMDS areas. Then everyone will get a new updated service. Probabily rebranded then.

Was just thinking the same .Any sign of new channels this must be the slowest year in that regard for some time!!!!!
The longer they take the more people will start switching to sky, a few extra channels before xmas would be nice but i doubt it

last article I read was from setanta saying they were in negotiations with upc to provide setanta sports in the basic pack for chorus areas. so probably until that is sorted ya wont get a unified package on both ntl/chorus

An article here http://www.siliconrepublic.com/news/news.nv?storyid=single7302 tells us of their plans as well.

How is NTL/Chorus going to provide their broadband products in places which have MMDS exclusively?

Can anything be done with (to improve) the MMDS service apart from using MPEG4 coding?

Your lucky you can actually get digital TV. In Celbridge we're still stuck on an ancient analogue system, with no digital in sight.
