Liverpool waiting on Gerrard and Sissoko to be passed fit, I suspect one won't play.

This would be nice line-up but won't happen as this team started against Villa!

    Reina,
    Finnan Carragher Hyypia Riise
    Gerrard Alonso Sissoko Luis Garcia
    Kuyt Crouch

bench: Dudek, Aurelio, Bellamy, Agger, Fowler, Pennant, Zenden,

    Mike.

Ref is losing the rag. Was Cole booked twice? Then hes dragging Messi around!!!

  • Users Awaiting Email Confirmation Posts: 15,001 ✭✭✭✭Pepe LeFrits

I reckon the ref booked Cole twice, eventually realised his mistake and shifted the yellow to Lampard.

Messi game, if you'll pardon the pun.

Was an excellent game up until that killed it, now the ref has lost the plot.

Xavi and Essien nearly scored 2 crackers :(

Garcia the difference for Pool so far, Bordeaux are so poor its rubbing off! Liverpool must press for the second early on and kill them off.

I thought the ref booked Cole for the 1st one but watching it a second time, he books Lampard for dissent when the ref gives a freekick against Drogba.

Hopefully Barcelona will score a couple more in the 2nd half

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,640 ✭✭✭Gillie

    The ref is really struggling.
There are a lot of "nothing challanges" and some of the players are going down like they've been shot.
A shame to see because there has been some fantastic football in the game!

1-1 Chelsea came out 2nd half on fire.

    great game

Snipers on the roof at Camp Nou! Drogba down like a sack of spuds!

2-1 now! Gudjonsson scores against his old club!

Gudjohnsen scores a greal goal after good work from Ronnie.

This a cracking game, tbh shows why the CL is the best football in the world (even with the nasty pro fouls)

To be honest, Lamps looked like he was actually trying to chip the keeper there. Did you see how he lofted the ball to take it over the keeper?

Bordeaux should be 10-0 down at this stage. Fowler and even Hyypia missing sitters. Only 3-0 though.

Didn't realise French football had descended so much. Other than Lyon, it looks like English Championship stuff.

Marseille, Lille, Auxerre and PSG used to be competitive at least.

Oooooo, Carvalho sticks the boot into Deco's nether regions.

    2-2, Drogbaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

    2-2 Drogba.

Great game at times, disgusting at others 10 yellows?

Shocking defending from Barca, have to say that Drogba's goal was deserved. He's been provider for Chelsea a couple of times tonight. Always battled hard and linked up play really well. Himself and Essien have been Chelsea's best players tonight.

Of course he didnt mean it. ;) That Deco is a twat anyway. Diving all night.

Drogba just scores. Good header from Terry.

Maybe competitive but never of the highest standards. Even Marseilles CL win is shrouded in cheating.

Ha ha Rijkaard is a bitter man. Moaning to the ref. I hope neither one of these teams go on and win it out.

The ref in the Barca -v- Chelsea game has had an eventful couple of days.

Milan Derby on saturday and this game tonight.

He doesnt get the easu ones!

I hope they draw each other in the knockouts again. Always entertaining.

    LOL at Maureen! "I Rulez!"

The sending off put Boreding on thier knees, could have been 5-0 rather than 10. I hope the little sh1t gets a 5 match ban.

Pretty bad match to watch imo, always interrupted by diving or players injuries, ref was not the best, the match at the bridge was far better to watch I think.

Messi was really impressive at times and Cole was very good going forward too.

A draw is probably a fair result

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

RTÉ lads laying the blame entirely on Mourinho for this being a scrappy match. It was all Chelsea diving apparently.
