Any one had any problems with these?

Got a new one in the office last week and it wont turn on now. Was working ok this morning then there was an error about the HDD or DVDROM (person at computer cant remember) and error message said to restart but now it wont.

Rang Dell and was on Hold for 40mins and never got to talk to any one. Emailed sales guy and waiting to hear back from him

Will windows try to load or are you just getting the DELL POST screen?

<edit> or is anything even appearing on the monitor?

if it's the harddrive, sounds like it's gone. You'll need a new one, just get on to the techies and say what error your getting and they should sort you out.

are you getting any beeps from the pc, if not it could indicate that the motherboard has died, you'll probably have to try and get in touch with dell support  to see about getting a replacement pc.

    Not a hope.

THey will want it back. You should have got the next day business/on site cover. 2 weeks is a bit of a joke tbh.

Yeah I was joking bout keeping it.

I was call to "technical support" and all I wanted was some one to come out and have a look at it as we have 3 year NBD on site. He wouldnt hear of it. Wanted me to check some stuff for him. Spent the afternoon taking out parts. Still no luck. He said he wouldnt order a support call cause he couldnt figure out over the phone the problem (I think its the hard drive but he wouldnt listen).

We are stuffed for computers nesxt next week. Have a few people out this week so not so bad

Did he even acknowledge that you had 3 year NBD? afaik, if you have that type of warranty, they usually try to figure out the phone but if they cant sort it then they dispatch an engineer, sounds to me like he wasnt listening when you said that you had theNBD warranty, might merit a second call to them or maybe to their complaints dept, cause looks to me like the NBD warranty isn't even worth the paper its written on:confused:

    Ditto for me :)
If you ordered and paid for NBD call out then you get it - end of story. Get tough with them ;)

Your man said that he'd send me an email about it but still havent got it.

I kept saying that I wanted to send some one out to have a look at it. He said there was no point as he couldnt figure out what the problem was and I'd say thats why I want some one to come out and this would go on and on.

A bit of a joke tbh.
