MS Word printing problem

    Has anyone else had the same problem where you try to print a big document with 2 pages per sheet, but it comes out blank except for two tiny (5mm x 8mm) smudges which are actually the printed pages in miniature?

    I have to restart the PC and then it prints fine the first time, but after that its back to the tiny printed pages. (2 per page, at least its getting that right!)

    Im using MS Word 2003 and a HP Laserjet 1020.

    Wow, that's a new one for me.

    You say you have to restart the PC, rather than just MS Word?
    That would suggest it's more of a general printer driver problem than MS Word.

    Try this.
    Run > "services.msc".
    Scroll down to "Printer Spooler Service" and click restart. See if that solves it. (temporially at least, without you having to restart the entire PC)
