Lad's i was wondering could someone verify was there no night link buses last night? was out last night and one of my mates said he went for night link and there was none. We ended up walking most of the way home. If there was no night link it's a pure joke of a service on a bank holiday weekend.

You would have gotten a better response in Transport forum.

The nightlink I've to get (29N) had two going, one at 12 and one at 2. Pretty bad service on a bank holiday Sunday.

They do run on bank holidays.
    Just at weekday times.

It helps to actually read the timetables.

12.30 and 2.30 is the standard bank holiday service. It's been like that for a long time now. Bus drivers are entitled to a bank holiday too you know.

Have to agree here, you can't expect everything to run as normal on a bank holiday weekend.

Just assuming everything was going to stay the same without checking the timetable was a bit silly but hey, on the bright side, you'll know for next time :)

I walked by college green just past 3am and there was loads of people waiting.
I actually was going to join them, but I didb't feel like waiting, so I decided to walk for a cab.
It was only this morning that I realised the little yellow ticket bus wasnt there, and there was no other bus staff around. I pity the feckers who waited!

Well with all this talk of drink driving and then no public service. Sure It was obvious there was going to be a crowd out sunday night

Not only that, but a lot of Taxi drivers take the Sunday off to enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend too...
At least the CHristmas Timetables will kick into action for next month.
And then there's also the Nite-Luas! Every 20mins, til 4.00 I think. A total saviour!

A Nitelink every half hour from 00:30 to 03:00 during the week would be nice... though possibly not financially viable.

I live in Sandyford Hall, this is a place hard to reach on foot, the LUAS line is 30 minutes from my home!

It's just not ecnonically viable to have more frequent Nitelink srevices.
I was out last Sunday and I got the Nitelink home. It wasn't packed, infact it wasn't even half full. With that type of turnout an extra service isn't really warranted.
