eBay/Paypal redemption codes and coupons...

    Just an inquiry as to how one procures these discount codes or how to get on the mailing list for them.
    Is it a loyalty scheme of some sort?
    Is it only a US thing?

    I know they have to be mailed directly to the user (rather than got off a google search), but in almost 4 years of ebay/paypal usage amounting to €1000's in transactions, I've never reeived so much as a cent off...
    Anyone know the secret password?

    Never got any of these either, there used to be ones floating around for a few quid of the shipping or total purchase. I have a US account and spent a heap of money this year but nothing.

    eBay/PayPal send PayPal coupons out on occassion for marketing purposes but it's all kinda random as to whether you'd get one or not.
