HD DVD Player Question

    Hi folks,

I've a question about upgrading to a HD-DVD player. Currently I've quite a large collection of DVDs and I'm thinking about getting one of those Toshiba HD-E1 HD DVD players in the new year because they do upscaling as well as full HD and I've got the HD-TV ready to go.

My question is this. I currently have a Pioneer XV-DV313 all-in-one dvd system (e.g. speakers etc.); if I replace the Pioneer with the Toshiba can I use the same speaker system or do I need to upgrade that as well?

    Thanks in advance.

That depends on whether the XV-DV313 has an optical/digial in to allow you to hook up the toshiba, a quick look at the manual suggests that it does so it should be fine.

hava a look at the back of the unit if there is an optical or coax in then you will probably be ok.
