    Have no idea why it was necessary to register another .org, but I'm sure it'll become clear in the future.

    As xebec guessed, because the website is now on the tcdlife server, we have to conform to certain college rules as well as relying on college to do stuff for us sometimes. Hence the lack of message boards, as it's college policy not to have message boards and also the lack of any embedded PDFs so far as the drop folder for them needed to be set up by college and didn't happen til this week. However, both issues have been resolved and we now have our boards up and will be adding PDFs over the next couple of days so we'll have the constitution and the policy document up.

    I personally think it's a very pretty little foot. I know there were issues with heavy editing before on SU boards but I think it'll be moderated very similarly to here. If it's abusive, it'll be taken down but otherwise it'll stay up, even if it's critical of the union.

    Anyway, I know most Boards.ie posters will stay here, but it's good to see all the same.

    True, but the boards could have been hosted elsewhere without the need for purchasing another .org with then tcdsu.org/boards or tcdsu.tcdlife.ie/boards being set to redirect.

    How on earth do you think that will be the case. The moderators are all hacks unlike here, also a law onto themselves, unlike here. I could say anything I wanted about the SU on this forum, bar advocating physical violence, and it would be ok, and you seriously suggesting the same will be true on your new and unproven forum? It will be a mutual masturbation hack-fest. Writing things off before they've had a chance, thats how I like to do it.
