Sky+ questions

    Hi,

I set my sister up for a normal SKY FTV setup last year.
For xmas I might get her a sky+ box from ebay.
I know I need a twin LNB for recording one channel
while watching another, but if I just use a single LNB
will it work without this feature ?
I have 2 co-ax cables from attic to TV. One for satellite
and one for terrestrial (needed). Is there anyway I could
use one of these cables for both services ?
    Do I need a subs for sky+ ?
Can Sky+ record terrestrial channels ?

    Thanks,.
    Ray.

You can get diplexers that will combine satellite and terrestrial signals into 1 cable, and a diplexer wallplate at the end to seperate the signals again.
    http://www.tvlink.co.uk/diplexer.htm
However, I've yet to use these diplexers and cannot comment on the loss or interference they may cause?

For the Sky+ recording features to work you NEED a Sky subscription. An additional €15 pm levy is charged for the recording features, or the fee is waived if you subscribe to 2 or more Premium channels.

Sky+ will only record what is available on the Sky EPG, it will not record channels from your terrestrial aerial.

About 1dB to 4dB depending on TV port or Sat port or frequency. 1dB is nearly nothng, 3dB is half the signal :(
