    Hey,


    Does anyone have information on the types of Cuvettes available for use in spectroscopy? - I know that there are quartz, plastic, and glass ones but are there any more? Also, does anyone know what wavelength-ranges each type is used for? Finding this information is proving very difficult.

    To be honest, I've only seen quartz and plastic ones myself. Apart from glass, I don't know what ones are available.

    The only information I have is that quartz cuvettes should be used at wavelengths below 320 nm.

    another good website, but i did a quick search for cuvettes on it and there werent many results. might be worth a closer look though.

    Dont use plastic cuvettes with organic solvents as they will be dissolved, but can be used with any aqueous solution.
    Glass cuvettes should not be used below 320nm, as glass does not allow UV light to pass through it.
    Quartz cuvettes are the expensive, but can be used at any wavelength above 190nm.
